As I checked the stats today there is good news and bad news. Because I am an Optimist I will only share the good news.<br /><br />Here goes, our District goal in terms of Growth is to add 600 new members in this Optimist year. We are well on our way. If you break the goal down, we need to add 150 per quarter. The reports show we have added 143 and I am aware of at least 7 unposted adds. That means we have met our first quarter goal of 150 new members.<br /><br />Believe me I know there was a lot of extra effort on the part of those who brought in new members.<br /><br />Other good news, the Centerville Noon Club is starting a New Club Building effort in Bellbrook , Ohio. Great article in the <em>Dayton Daily News</em>! Thanks Kelly, Mike, Margaret, Joe, and everyone else who is involved. You know who you are,<br /><br />Tonight I will be attending a Wright State basketball game with the Kettering Noon Club - go Raiders. We will celebrate at the Award's Banquet at the 2nd District Conference, February 12 and 13. Governor's and Committee Chairs for the 2008-09 year.<br /><br />The challenge is now before me and all of you to bring in a triple.
